The Beginning

And this is how it begins.

As you can see I havent really done anything. Everything is in pretty much the default of your browser. Lame huh? How 1996 of me. Well at least this proves that my WordPress install is in correctly and the theme is working.

The only real thing I have done to it so far is centered a 960px space so that the website isnt hugging either side. As you can see theres no nav bar or anything. So far so good. I am only currently running two template files. A simple loop for the home page that displays my latest posts. As well as a single post template that displays only the one.

Maybe I will play with some actual font styles tonight..that might be a good idea.

I will be coding this website with HTML5 for the most part. Which will give me more options, as well as with CSS3 for even MORE epic capabilities.

Coding without a plan. Should be fun. Who needs plans anyway..lol

 

The Progressive Blog

So.. Ive been wanting to redesign this thing for a while now and have been cramming my brain of how I want it to function and look. Ive come up with some pretty good ideas and Ive also had a huge massive idea that I think is pretty cool..

I am going to design and build my site, and at the same time have it live. The only real test here is to have it at a point of functionality after working on it for a said amount of time.

The cool thing about this is being able to see it grow and progress as I continue to work on it. As well as being able to see all the small changes as well as the bigger ones.

I am also going to be blogging about my progress including code snippits and small tutorials about the steps I am taking while I work on it so both myself and my “audience” (I dont think there is any of you yet) get something out of it.

Meh. I think its a good idea. We will see what comes out of it.

I love stuff

So.. I have had a mad bout of inspiration tonight..and I can’t sleep..which sucks..but what can you do.

I dont know about all the other geeks out there..but Ironman can be a serious source of inspiration. Not to mention the very idea of what technology could do eventually. Tie in the progression of technology over the past.. well long time and its incredible. Then theres the simple addition of the people around you. They can inspire creativity in you as well..

I look forward to pushing my own boundaries, as well as my knowledge throughout my career. Something I have noticed lately, is I am tired of people saying ‘it cant be done.’ Usually these restrictions are based on a line that someone else placed for a software or application. Here I sit, looking forward to taking those limitations and ripping them apart.

Its going to be a fun ride.. Lets rock this. :)

A prebuilt theme to last throughout the design process

Hey all,

Drastic change in Style I KNOW RIGHT?!

Point is that my old blog got a massive delete button pushed on it and well.. I lost everything..

*tear* ya dont ask.

Apparently my hosting company isn’t going to be able to bring it back from the dead so I am stuck using a regular prebuilt theme until time comes where I have a change to rebuild my portfolio and blog..and get things up and running again.

In short..deal with it :) I am sure this will be just as entertaining :) and as well don’t expect this theme to last too long as i am cooking up something spectacular :)
